About Us

Ring the Damn Bell is built by fans, for fans. We’re two lifelong Sixers obsessives who live and breathe everything Philly basketball — the wins, the heartbreak, the rumors, the chaos, and the endless debates that come with it.

This show isn’t hot takes for clicks. It’s honest, passionate conversation from people who care way too much about this team — just like you.

John
Co-Host

John is a lifelong Philadelphia 76ers fan whose relationship with the team has been shaped by decades of hope, frustration, and relentless loyalty. He began his time at Drexel University in 1983—the same year the Sixers won their last NBA championship—an early reminder that being a fan in Philadelphia often means chasing a standard set long ago.

With a degree in engineering, John approaches the game with a naturally analytical mindset, always interested in how systems, decisions, and structure impact outcomes. Professionally, he runs a gasket manufacturing company based in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, experience that informs how he views leadership, team-building, and long-term planning in the NBA.

Beyond fandom and analysis, John spent years coaching his daughter Alyssa from grade school through high-level AAU and into high school, developing a hands-on understanding of player development and competition. Alyssa now serves as the producer of the Ring The Damn Bell Podcast and the Creative Director of Jebtam Publishing, LLC, the full-service digital marketing and consulting company they founded together.

John’s friendship with co-host Sanoj began when they became neighbors and bonded over their shared obsession with the Sixers. What started as constant game-day texts eventually became Ring The Damn Bell, an honest extension of two fans who don’t just follow the team—they live every possession.

Sanoj
Co-Host

Sanoj has been a lifelong Philadelphia 76ers fan, with his earliest basketball memories tied to iconic moments such as Julius Erving’s retirement, the Charles Barkley trade, the pre-Iverson struggles, the unforgettable 2001 Finals run, and more recent heartbreaks like Kawhi Leonard’s buzzer-beater and Ben Simmons’ infamous passed-up dunk.

Born in Philadelphia, Sanoj grew up playing basketball on the courts of Lackman Playground in Northeast Philly. A graduate of Temple University, he remained deeply connected to the city’s sports culture. Now living in the suburbs, he works in finance within the healthcare sector and is a devoted husband and proud father of two boys, ages 14 and 12.

With over 30 years of closely following the league and his hometown team, Sanoj brings a wealth of knowledge, perspective, and enthusiasm to the podcast. His friendship with John sparked the creation of Ring The Damn Bell, an authentic extension of a bond forged through basketball and shared Sixers pain.
